Health crisis erupts in Philippines following deadly Typhoon Haiyan

Officials say that 10,000 may have died after the devastating typhoon that hit the Philippines. As survivors assess the damage, Joseph Curry, with Catholic relief services says that victims are in desperate need of help rebuilding their homes.

    On Monday a health crisis erupted in Tacloban, Philippines, a city which was devastated by one of most violent storms to ever hit land as survivors of Typhoon Haiyan begged for help and picked through the wreckage for food. There wasn't enough clean water and cases of dysentery in this city and the city was without electricity and facing severe water and food shortages.
       This city has over 200,00 people, there are 10,000 plus death after this disaster. Bodies lay in the streets of Tacloban as survivors stumbled among the shells of shattered buildings and splintered trees. The Filipino Americans around the nation are offering prayers and fundraisers to help in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan.
